Hi. I’m Andy and I’ve been making my own bread for about two years.

As well as enjoying the therapeutic value of cooking (and especially making a staple such as bread), there’s a great deal of comfort and satisfaction that comes with eating your own food – knowing exactly what’s in there and more importantly, what’s not.

Although you can read recipes and watch videos about this, I’ve found that there are little details that are left out – details which would have made learning how to produce a decent loaf of bread a lot easier.

That’s what I aim to share here. Little details about how things are supposed to look and feel rather than just baking terms and regurgitated ’accepted wisdom’.

Any products that I recommend and link to are products that I own and use myself – I have no time for people who promote rubbish just to make a profit.
