Raspberry Crumble

OK, so this isn’t a loaf of bread or a batch of lunch rolls.

But as someone famous once said: “man cannot live by bread alone”, presumably meaning that if you light the oven in the middle of the summer for breadmaking, you should probably make a dessert too while you’re at it.

This raspberry crumble is very easy to make, ready in under an hour and it’s delicious either warm or cold. Continue

Sandwich rolls

These rolls are quick and easy to make, needing only one rise.

They are soft, rich and buttery, but robust enough to make excellent sandwiches.

The flavor and texture comes from the use of a pre-ferment, which takes about 30 seconds to put together and sits in the refrigerator overnight.

Fridge dough

The really great thing about fridge dough is that you can get home and think to yourself, “I want some bread with dinner”, and within about an hour and a half – you’ve got it. All it takes is about 5 minutes of preparation sometime in the previous few days.

The time the dough spends in the refrigerator does all the rest of the work!
